A Collection of Health and Wellness Services
Care Focused On Your Needs
Collective Motion is a space where health and wellness providers can bring together their experiences and subspecialties to provide you with holistic care focused on you.
-
A crowded gym, your therapist managing multiple patients at the same time, treatment plans that don’t seem to be making you feel better, and getting passed off to an (unlicensed) aide after 20 minutes with your therapist?
-
Corporate entities, interested first and foremost in their profit margin, pack patients in like cattle and work their clinicians to the bone. What’s more, they are in no way financially incentivized to recruit and retain physical therapists with many years of experience. In fact, it’s much cheaper to maintain a revolving door of new graduates, as insurance companies do not reimburse more based on a therapist’s experience level or the quality of your outcome. Experienced therapists are progressively disempowered and disrespected until they either leave the field or try to find a new way of doing what they love.
-
At Collective Motion, we have DECADES of experience that inform how we evaluate and treat your specific condition.
What’s more, we have created an environment that feels comfortable, not clinical. And, unlike most of the healthcare professionals you may have seen, we have the TIME to make you feel seen and heard. You will be with your clinician from the start to the finish of each session, and you’ll never be passed off to an aide so we can pack in more patients.
Collective Motion was founded not only in the best interest of the PATIENT, but also in the best interest of the CLINICIAN. Each therapist and Pilates instructor that works at Collective Motion has autonomy – over their schedule, their income, and their work-life balance. Happy clinicians = happy patients. It’s that simple.
MEET THE FOUNDERCollective Motion was founded with the intent of being in stark contrast to what owner, Dr. Elsa Gould, likes to call “factory farm physical therapy”.
A physical therapist and Pilates instructor with nearly two decades of experience helping people overcome musculoskeletal injuries and move with confidence, Elsa earned her doctorate from Northwestern University and began her career in hospital-based orthopedics before transitioning to private practice, where she delivers more personalized, one-on-one care.
Elsa’s approach goes beyond treating symptoms—she identifies and addresses the root cause of your pain. By analyzing how your movement patterns have been shaped over time, she helps you correct imbalances, prevent future injury, and perform at a higher level. With a foundation in movement that began in the ballet studio and evolved through years of clinical experience, she brings a highly trained eye to how your body moves.
She believes you deserve to understand your body and how to care for it. Through education and hands-on guidance, Elsa empowers you to take control of your health, so you can move better, feel stronger, and stay active for the long term.
